My name is Mathilde and I am a 17 year old student from a little village in South of France. Of course, education has always been part of my life since, in my country, every child must go to school until at least 16 years old. Even though many students in France do not like school, I have always considered it as a chance because I know that many children cannot afford school and that it would be disrespectful towards them to not take our chance. Yes, i believe in education and I believe that if we help these children who cannot afford it we will make a change in this world. I believe in the famous quote "Open schools, you will close jails », mentioned by the great French writer Victor Hugo, meaning that by educating children you will reduce the misery in the world.
