Dear friends, supporters, and donors of Givers of Dreams,
I hope you all are doing well and keeping warm as the cold winter approaches. It is with a heavy heart and a long contemplation that I share with you my decision to leave Givers of Dreams (GODO) , an organization that was very dear to my heart. GODO was founded on the belief that there are so many kids who have dreams and goals in life, however, most of the underprivileged children won’t get to live their dreams because of the poverty that they are in. For this reason, you and I together can create the resources, tools, and hopes to keep these dreams alive for these children. We can help impoverished youth to achieve their dreams. This principle is still very dear to me and I believe that it’s one of my purposes in life. However, with everything that is going on in my life at the moment and due to personal circumstances and commitments, I have decided to take a break from GODO. My plan is to leave GODO by the end of this year, December 2022 and I hope to come back to continue this mission in the future.
I want to be clear that even though I will no longer be a part of Givers of Dreams, the organization and our passionate team are still here to carry out the mission of creating opportunities for underprivileged children. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to ask you all to keep supporting GODO in whichever way that you can. Moving forward, many of the GODO programs will be put on pause (e.g., the Guest Teacher Program, The Guest Speaker Program, The GODO House in Luang Prabang, and The Kwv Tij Program). However, the Life Group Program, Guest Speaker Program and the Scholarship Programs are still being implemented to provide youth empowerment, leadership skills, and scholarship opportunities to students here in Laos and that of the US. For further information, please contact GODO (info@giversofdreams.org).
I would also like to thank everyone for all the support you’ve given me, the GODO team, and especially the youth that benefit the most from your generosity. I will continue to carry your kindness deep in my heart and pay it forward as much as I can to people who need it. Once again, thank you so much for your continuous support towards Givers of Dreams.
With Love and Respect,
Her Vang
